Best Robotic Mop and Vacuum Combos
Most robot vacuum-mop combos can be customized with an application that allows you to save your home's maps as well as set cleaning schedules and choose mopping modes. They also let you change suction power and fine-tune how much water and scrub action your mop makes use of.
A mapping function helps your robot navigate around rooms. A feature to avoid obstacles prevents it from running over furniture, wires or other toys. These are must-have features in my house, filled with strewn-about toys.
- Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the company's flagship vacuum and mop, is loaded with features. It can sweep and mop simultaneously, and even raise its mop pads or brushes to ensure that soft surfaces don't get too wet. It also can detect and avoid obstacles, with the ability to spot pet toys, plants and other small objects.
The maximum suction power is 6,000 pascals. This is more than any vacuum we've test so far. It also comes with PreciSense LiDAR Navigation, which tracks its location, preventing it becoming stuck on objects.
The mopping function is impressive, with the S8 Pro Ultra able to apply constant pressure of over 6 Newtons to the mop pad to provide deep cleaning. It also has an automatic mop lifting system which lifts the pad as it moves from tile to laminate hardwood, carpet and rugs to avoid getting soaked by these soft surfaces.
In addition to this in addition, the S8 Pro Ultra has self-washing and self-drying features. The pad can be rinsing and heat-drying within the dock. The dust bin will automatically empty and return to the dock. You can set it to forget about it. You will only need to refill the water tank, or change the dust bag every now and then.
All of this is powered by a lithium-ion 5,200mAh battery. I tested it with its normal mop and vac settings for about 160 minutes before the S8 Pro Ultra started to be power-deficient and returned to its base for a recharge. This isn't that far from the 180 minutes Roborock claims and is at par other hybrids I've tested.
It's a comprehensive, reliable product. The only downside is that it's expensive. The sheer amount of features make it an appealing choice for anyone who is looking to replace their old mops and stick vacuums. If you can justify the cost, we highly recommend checking this one out.
- Dreametech L10S Ultra
The Dreametech L10S Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a premium combination. Its high-end price is justified by its robust features, which include a large vacuuming capacity and two gyrating mop mops. It also includes an app-based, smart controller and a powerful obstacle avoidance system.
The L10S Ultra is one of the most expensive robotic vacuums and mop combos available, at a recommended retail price of 999 euros. In my testing it performed well in all areas of the home, taking out 98.4 percent of the debris on all floors and managing to lift long hair without knots. The mops also performed well and produced excellent cleaning results with less effort than most mid-range models, thanks to their rotational motion and a strong dose of cleaning solution.
The docking station is the real selling aspect of the L10S Ultra. It's multifunctional and sophisticated. The docking station empties the trash bin into a bag that can be used for dirt, refills the water tank for mopping, and even dry your mop pads. It also has a real-time safety detection system and lets you schedule regular cleaning sessions using its intelligent controls.
Contrary to the other hybrid mops I've tested and compared, the L10S Ultra doesn't offer advanced dirt pickup on carpets. In addition the mops aren't capable at scrubbing away stubborn stains as those found in the premium Roborock S7 MaxV Ultra.
Despite the L10S Ultra's numerous high-end features, it still requires regular care and maintenance. The base station must be cleaned out and the water and dust tanks should be cleaned, emptied and dried on a regular basis to avoid mildew and unpleasant odors. It is also important to keep in mind that the mop pads which are bought separately are required to be replaced periodically too.
With the L10S Ultra's high-end price tag and extensive functionality I would recommend it to anyone with the money for it. If you're looking to save money I suggest a more basic model that will allow you to save money and enjoy hands-free cleaning in your home. Even it were the case that the L10S Ultra was the best robot mop and vacuum you could purchase, its high cost and constant maintenance will make it seem more a want than need.
- Eufy S1 Pro
If you're in search of a robot vacuum and mop that will clean up dust and dirt on your hard floors while cleaning up wet mess you should look no further than the Eufy S1 Pro. This powerful robovac/mop set-up comes with a powerful 8,000 Pa suction power. It also has a huge battery capacity that can be used for both mopping and vacuuming. It's also fitted with a top-quality obstacle-avoidance technology. It also comes with a roller mop that cleans itself as it goes this makes the S1 Pro stand out from other models that have to return to their base station mid-cleaning to clean the mop's pad.
The S1 Pro uses a unique mopping system that is a big contrast to the microfiber pads and spinning discs used in other robots. The roller is almost the entire width of the robot, and it receives a constant supply of clean, ozonated filtered water from the dock. When it turns, the roller scrubs your floors while soaking up dirt and any dry debris is removed by the side brushes, or swept into the front colision bumper. The S1 Pro then takes the mop water into its base station, where it is sucked up by the tank's heating elements, and then pumped into a larger storage bin. The tank that is onboard holds a good amount of water, and it can handle a half dozen mopping sessions before going dry.
Like most robot vacuums and mop combinations, the S1 Pro is ready to come out of the box. The S1 Pro needs to be refilled with clean water. This can be done in the cleaning dock. If you'd like to make use of your own cleaner you can include a cleaning solution to dock. If you opt for this option however, you'll have to purchase the Eufy-branded cleaning solution that is more expensive than other robot brands, allowing you to choose your preferred brand of cleaners.
As with most robots that are available, the S1 Pro did well in accuracy in navigation and coverage tests. It was quick to map a room, and it was able to navigate around furniture. The only issue is that it was stuck a couple of times on longer pile carpets and rugs during my testing however this can be improved when the software is upgraded. The S1 Pro is an all-in-one robot that provides a lot of functionality at a reasonable cost.
- Roborock Qrevo
The Qrevo is Roborock’s entry-level mop and vacuum cleaner however it has some outstanding features. The multi-function dock emptys the robot's dirtbag, and refills its water tanks, as well as washing and sanitizing the mop pads as it goes. The mopping system is able to be able to clean a large area prior to returning to its dock. The vacuum's extreme suction is ideal for removing pet hair and debris on carpets.
The app that runs the appliance is quite complex, with a broad variety of options to personalize the cleaning process. You can choose to manually clean every area that is that this device maps or select individual rooms, an expandable zone or a custom routine you've designed. SmartPlan is one of the mopping options. It utilizes the sensors on the mops to map out the space and determine the most efficient way to clean it.
The Qrevo did well in our tests, like all the Roborock models that we've evaluated. Its navigation system performs well in locating rooms quickly and cleaning in an organized manner. The 'Normal' setting for pathing does an excellent job of covering a room, with no major gaps or missed areas. Reactive Tech's hazard avoidance works well, however it's not as advanced as the color camera systems found on the Qrevo Master and the S8 Pro Ultra. It can spot hazards such as thick carpets but it might not always be able to detect smaller items like rug tassels, or electrical wires.
This device has a major flaw: it does not include a mop option after vacuuming. This could be a problem for those who vacuum a lot before using their robot. There's a simple solution: The app offers an option that lets you "clean up" at the end of every vacuuming session. The mopping features of the vacuum to get rid of the dust and traces that are left behind after vacuuming. It's a nice feature and helps the robot to make its clean better than its cheaper rivals.
